According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

July 30

Theft: At 11:02 a.m., Kyle Dolphin reported that his Stihl hedge trimmers were stolen while working at Grace United Methodist Church. A theft report was completed.

Disorderly Conduct: At 9:52 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Forest Street in reference to a male chasing a female. Contact was made with James Green, who continued to be disorderly. He was arrested and charged.

July 29

Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments: At 3:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to an unconscious male laying under the bridge on South Fayette Street, possibly overdosed. After being treated by squad members, Scott Frump was arrested after a syringe was located on him.

Theft: At 4:05 p.m., Robert Riley reported that $419.83 was removed from his checking account without his permission. A suspect has been identified and Riley was referred to the city solicitor.

Breaking & Entering/Theft: At 6:46 p.m., Rocky Kimmey reported that an unknown offender broke into his storage locker, located at 600 W. Temple St. The investigation is ongoing.

Violating Protection Order: At 9:38 p.m., a woman reported that a known male had violated a protection order currently in place. Mark Taylor was arrested and charged with the offense.

July 28

Criminal Damaging: At 2:10 p.m., Suzanne Detty reported that an unknown offender caused damage to her vehicle by breaking the driver’s side window.

Criminal Damaging: At 11:17 p.m., Amy Putney reported that an unknown offender caused damage to her residence by breaking a bedroom window.

July 27

Suspicious Person: At 2:21 a.m., officers responded to Walmart, located at 1397 Leesburg Ave., in reference to a male acting erratically. Officers arrived and began an investigation. During the investigation, William Parlier and Karan Sammons were arrested for drug-related charges.

Drug Paraphernalia: At 7:56 p.m., officers responded to 466 N. Fayette St. in reference to marijuana being grown in an open location. Officers arrived and located several marijuana plants and marijuana drug paraphernalia. Brandy Cobb was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 26

Theft: At 12:40 p.m., Amy Lebeau reported that while visiting a friend’s residence at 1082 Andrick Drive, her vehicle was entered and property was stolen. During the investigation, Natasha Evans and Lindsey Hornsby were identified and arrested for theft.

Theft: At 12:56 p.m., Thomas Colter reported that an unknown suspect(s) stole property from his residence at 1254 Rawling St. An investigation is ongoing.

Theft: At 10:08 a.m., Frederick Hott reported that property had been stolen from his residence at 1008 Washington Ave. The investigation is ongoing.

Criminal Damaging: At 5:32 p.m., Dusty Hawkins reported damage to his vehicle while it was parked on the Walmart lot, located at 1397 Leesburg Ave.

July 25

Disorderly Conduct: At 12:20 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of South Main Street in reference to two people overdosing in a vehicle. Officers located William Campbell and Melissa Strahler in the vehicle. Both were under the influence of drugs and transported to Fayette County Memorial Hospital to be treated. Campbell became disorderly at the hospital and once he was medically cleared, he was arrested.

Disorderly Conduct/Possession of Drugs/Drug Paraphernalia: At 2:23 a.m., officers responded to Fayette County Memorial Hospital in reference to Melissa Strahler acting disorderly. She was transported to the hospital earlier for a drug overdose. Once medically cleared, she was arrested. She was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Assault: A man reported that he was assaulted by his girlfriend while visiting friends. She departed prior to the officer’s arrival. An assault report was completed.

Underage Alcohol Consumption: At 12:17 p.m., officers responded to the Dayton Avenue Flagway in reference to an intoxicated female disturbing customers. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 20-year-old Mellissa Goldsberry. She was intoxicated and subsequently arrested.

July 24

Assault/Aggravated Menacing: At 9:34 a.m., officers responded to Richelieu Foods in reference to a person possibly with a gun. Officers spoke to the complainants, who advised that Richard Baughn made statements that he would return with his gun, and when he departed he struck an employee with the mirror to his vehicle. Baughn was at the business in reference to a discrepancy with his son’s paycheck. He was arrested and charged.

July 23

Theft: At 3:22 a.m., officers responded to Goodwill in reference to a theft complaint. Melissa Funk was located outside of the business with stolen merchandise. She was arrested and charged.

Criminal Trespassing: At 4:12 p.m., officers responded to Camellia Court Apartments, 820 Highland Ave., in reference to a male who was attempting to start a fight and refusing to leave. Officers made contact with Simeon Whatley, who was advised a short time earlier that he was banned from the property. He was arrested and charged.

Disorderly Conduct: At 8:18 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Riverbirch Road in reference to an unknown intoxicated male sitting on the porch of the complainant. Officers made contact with Vincent Elkins, who was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was arrested and charged.
