Breaking ground for new jail

The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Fayette County Jail commenced on Monday. Approximately 100 people gathered for various speeches, light refreshments and for photographs. Fayette County Commissioner office Admin Clerk Dana Foor and Assistant Admin Clerk Sue Smith organized the ceremony and Foor was given recognition during speeches for being the “glue” that kept everyone connected.
