According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

May 21

Possession of Drugs/Drug Paraphernalia: At 8:29 a.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a welfare check on a female. Upon arrival the female was identified as Mary Jones, who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Resisting Arrest/Obstructing Official Business: At 8:41 a.m., officers were assisting Child Protective Services with the removal of a child from Lindi Giffin. Giffin refused to give custody of the child to CPS, and when placed under arrest, she resisted. She continued to resist when taken to the Fayette County Jail.

Possession of Drugs/Obstructing Official Business: At 8:16 p.m., officers made contact with Michael Penwell, who lied about his identity. Penwell was arrested and found to also have an active bench warrant for his arrest. During a search incident to arrest, officers located drugs on his person.

Disorderly Conduct: While investigating a trespassing complaint, the complainant, Vicki Woods, became belligerent towards officers and another female, and refused to cease her behavior. Woods was subsequently taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

Domestic Violence: Roger Stevens was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence by threats, after the victim notified police and produced threatening text messages allegedly sent by Stevens.

Theft: Janet Wilson reported that unknown person(s) removed several miscellaneous items from her property over the past few weeks. A report for theft was taken.

May 19

Theft: An employee of the Tractor Supply Co. reported that an unknown male subject departed the business with merchandise without paying. A report for theft was taken.

Theft: Cheri Bailey reported that unknown person(s) removed an iron bicycle flower planter from her flower bed on an undetermined date and time. A report for theft was taken.
