Big Brothers, Big Sisters of South Central Ohio will hold a new type of fundraiser to help support their efforts, “Bourbon and Bubbles.”

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of South Central Ohio is a non-profit organization, which means that they heavily rely on fundraisers and donations to help them achieve their vision.

“We care so deeply for the children and families we serve in this community,” volunteer and community outreach coordinator Nicole Pickerrell said. “We see their faces, we know their stories and more importantly, we do our best to understand their hearts. So, when it comes to raising funds, it is not business, it is personal. We work hard for them and we fight tirelessly to help defend, ignite and empower their potential, because they are worthy and deserving of it.”

While the group are most known for the annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake and Dance For Kids’ Sake Fundraisers, organizers said they wanted to shake things up a bit and organize the next big event.

“We wanted to do something that was not only going to help us fund our vision, but something that would be fun for the members of our community as well,” Pickerrell said. “Mark your calendars, this BIG Night Out is one you won’t want to miss! Introducing our newest fundraiser: Bourbon & Bubbles.”

Bourbon & Bubbles is scheduled to take place on June 15 at the Chillicothe Country Club. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and there are four ticket options to choose from:

If anyone has ever tried to get their hands on a bottle of one of these, then they’ll know what they mean when they say rare: Blanton’s, E.H. Taylor, Eagle Rare, and Blade and Bow. This tasting also includes an array of heavy gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and a complimentary Glencairn glass. There is a very limited supply of these tickets available, so make sure to purchase one as soon as possible.
