Promoting literacy in the community

0

For the last several years, EarthChoice at Domtar has partnered with First Book to promote literacy in children. At Belle Aire Intermediate School, the librarian, Mrs. Keller, will choose a number of different books for the children to read. Domtar provides the books, and their Domtar employees volunteer to introduce one of the chosen books by reading aloud to the class to get the children interested in the story. Books are then distributed to the children. This photo is one of the many classes with various copies of books that were given out. In the middle of the pack, the big kid, is Domtar’s local EarthChoice Ambassador, Ryan Olaker. This project is very worthwhile and is enjoyed by all!
