According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Feb. 23

Possession of Drug Abuse Instrument/Obstructing/OVI: At 2:17 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 600 block of Willard Street. The driver was intoxicated and gave officers false information. Casey Eagle George was arrested and officer located drug paraphernalia on his person. He was charged accordingly.

Theft: At 3:24 p.m., Haley Adams reported a theft that occurred in the game room at Walmart. She advised that she departed without her wallet and when she returned the wallet was stolen. A theft report was completed.

Feb. 22

Barking Dog: At 3:42 p.m., a complaint of a barking dog was received at 411 Eastern Ave. Officers observed the dog, which was violating the city ordinance. The dog’s owner, Crystal Carey, was issued a citation for the violation.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Abuse Instrument: At 9:21 p.m., officers located and arrested Preston Bowman near North Street and Market Street on an active bench warrant. Officers located drug paraphernalia on his person, which he was subsequently charged with.

Feb. 21

Theft/Criminal Trespassing: At 3:30 p.m., Tammy Massie reported a theft of a FedEx package from her porch that occurred earlier in the day. During the course of the investigation, Alesha Bennett was identified as the offender. Bennett was arrested and the property was returned to Massie.

Theft: At 6:22 p.m., Gloria Newman reported that a license plate was stolen off of her vehicle sometime in the past year. A theft report was completed.
