ERA Martin hosts holiday food drive

On Oct. 16, agents at ERA Martin & Associates delivered nearly 2,000 items of canned goods, cleaning supplies and other needed items to The Well at Sunnyside.

ERA challenged the community for a month to bring in items so that they could be given to those who may be a little less fortunate than others during this holiday season.

Event organizer, Steven Armstrong, said, “Our initial goal was 750 cans, and we just kept getting more and more donations. It was really amazing to see how many people in our community really care about others and are willing to help out when they can. The holidays can be very stressful especially if you are struggling to provide your family with the basic necessities.”

Armstrong went on to say, “Chiquita Nash and the wonderful people at The Well do an amazing job of helping our fellow citizens out and we as a company just wanted to help out a little in our own way. Thank you to everyone that contributed to this food drive, it was incredible to collect so many items. Great job Fayette County!”
