Two new career programs at Great Oaks Career Campuses offer high-tech opportunities for area high school students.

Students in any of Great Oaks’ 36 affiliated school districts will now be able to choose Cybersecurity or Business Office Specialist as options to prepare for careers and college.

Cybersecurity is available at the Diamond Oaks campus on Harrison Avenue in Dent.

“Cybersecurity is a field for those who enjoy a challenge, who like solving puzzles, and who want a career that will take them a long way,” said Diamond Oaks Dean Andy McCool. “Graduates will be certified and can start working right away or go on to college.”

The Business Office Specialist program is offered at Scarlet Oaks. Students will prepare for Microsoft Office certifications. “Businesses need talented professionals,” said Scarlet Oaks Dean Dan Rush. “It’s not enough to be self-taught in Word, Excel, and other programs. Microsoft certifications show employers that these specialists understand the complexities of the software.”

Cybersecurity is a two-year program for students who will be juniors in the fall. For more information, contact Laura Domet at [email protected] or 513.612.7006.

Business Office Specialist is a one-year program for students who will be seniors in the fall. For more information, contact Julie Beis at [email protected] or 513.612.5794.

Great Oaks offers more than 30 programs for high school students and 15 career training programs for adults. Go to for information.
