Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) Foundation is now selling tickets for the fifth-annual Fundraising Gala, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Mahan Building on the Fayette County Fairgrounds. The theme for this year’s event is “Run for the Roses.”

A new twist has been added this year in addition to the live and silent auctions – horseracing! Guests at the event will have the chance to name and own a horse in one of eight video horse races. Just like at the races, attendees can bet on their favorite horses. The $75 per person ticket includes a full course dinner served by The Crown Room.

“The FCMH Foundation Gala has become a tradition in Fayette County and we welcome anyone who would like to attend. It is through the support of the gala that the Foundation is able to generate the resources necessary to support the hospital with needed equipment purchases and capital improvements,” said FCMH Foundation Director Whitney Gentry.

Just this year the FCMH Foundation Board has purchased a mammography chair, an audio testing booth, continuing education courses for staff, EMS training equipment, a vital signs monitor, medical scales and more.

According to Gentry, last year’s gala raised over $35,000, and the FCMH Foundation board hopes to match or beat that amount this year. Without the community partnerships, employee support and individual sponsors this event would not be possible.

For ticket and sponsorship opportunities, call the Foundation office at 740-333-2710. All donations are tax deductible and proceeds from the Run for the Roses Gala will be earmarked for the Emergency Room campaign to update patient care treatment areas and improve privacy for patients.

Forging the future of Fayette County Memorial Hospital by increasing awareness of needs and raising funds is the mission of the FCMH Foundation. Thank you for your support!
