Wayne Twp. Firehouse to fix apron

Wayne Twp. Volunteer Fire & Rescue is undergoing construction to replace the front apron of the firehouse. The apron is the concrete/blacktop area in the front of the station where the apparatuses pull into and out of the station. The decision was approved earlier this year to have repairs made. The renovations are expected to be complete by the end of this week, however the cure time for the concrete could be an additional week. During this time, the fire apparatuses are staged in the township building behind the firehouse. Residents will not notice any difference in response during this period.
