The Fayette Christian School recently announced the winners of its 2018 Golf Tournament, and thanked the community for its support.

In a press release Friday, Fayette Christian School thanked all those who had a part in making its 2018 tournament the most successful tournament in school history. A special thanks was given to the tournament host, McDonald’s of Fayette County and owner Nick Epifano, who has hosted the tournament from the beginning nine years ago. The school also thanked the 18 teams that came to play and all of the hole sponsors, as well as Greg Shaffer for a wonderful meal.

According to Pastor Tony Garren, the 2018 golf tournament raised over $11,660 — the most ever raised. The funds will be used to further the quality education that is offered to the children and to purchase items that will enhance learning.

“I would personally like to thank everyone who had a part in making the 2018 FCS golf outing a huge success,” Garren said on Friday. “My thanks to Gary Shaffer for organizing and directing the tournament. All the proceeds go to further the educational needs of our students. I would also like to thank Mr. Nick Epifano of McDonald’s for his support over the last nine years, we could not do this without you! I want to thank all the businesses and individuals that give so freely. We are all blessed to live in a community that is so giving. Thanks again.”
