According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 23

Burglary: At 5:18 p.m., Scott Smallwood, of 1025 Center St., reported his home was broken into and several items were taken.

Sept. 21

Breaking & Entering/Vandalism: At 8:19 a.m., an employee of Intelli Waves II reported that unknown person(s) gained entry into the business at 302 S. Fayette St. and vandalized the contents of the office.

Theft: At 9:36 a.m., Amber Frederick reported that unknown person(s) removed cash from her purse without her permission.

Theft: At 1:32 p.m., an employee of Ace Hardware reported that on two separate occasions a male concealed merchandise and departed the store without paying for the items. Charges are pending.

Sept. 19

Assault: At 8:49 p.m., a woman reported that during an argument with a known female, she was physically assaulted.

Sept. 18

Theft: At 8:33 a.m., George Cox reported that unknown person(s) removed personal checks from his residence without his permission.

Theft: At 5:40 p.m., an employee of Kroger reported that a male selected merchandise and departed the store without paying for the item. The male, identified as William J. Haddox II, was located and arrested for the listed offense.

Breaking & Entering: At 8:55 p.m., Melinda Jacobs reported that unknown person(s) entered a shed at the rear of her residence and removed property.
