To celebrate 25 years in business in Fayette County, Merchants National Bank recently held a customer appreciation luncheon.

The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce board of directors and ambassadors were on hand to present a certificate recognizing the milestone.

Merchants National Bank was established in 1879 in Hillsboro, where the main office still remains and has branches in Highland, Fayette, Brown, Clermont, Clark, Madison and Union counties.

In June of 1990, the Washington Court House location opened at 128 S. North St. Due to the extreme growth of the Washington C.H. office, the branch has been added on to twice, and is currently home to 13 employees.

The full service bank boasts an in-house loan officer for ag, commercial, real estate, home equity and auto loans. The branch also offers a wide variety of banking products and services, including online banking and bill payment as well as mobile banking while taking pride in providing outstanding customer service with the motto “A REAL Community Bank with REAL Customer Service.”
