Taking care of our water resources is something we all should care about. This year’s poster contest theme for the soil and water conservation districts is WATERSHEDS- OUR WATER OUR HOME.

Washington Court House Middle School art and science class participated. The Fayette Soil & Water Conservation District gave checks to the first, second and third place winners in the sixth and seventh grades.

Amanda Murphy-Runk, the seventh grade science teacher, and Tami Rose, the art teacher, added the contest to their curriculum. The winners for the sixth grade art class were first place Yukino Nagakura, second place Bevin Maddox Wilson, and third place Brianna Grooms.

The winners for the seventh grade science class were first place Morgan Cartwright, second place Kendal Dye, and third place Becca Daniels. The posters will be entered in the state competition in July.
