According to reports, the following Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

SEPT. 13

TRAFFIC CRASH: Jackie Johns of Washington C.H. was traveling westbound near 2630 US Route 22 East when Johns failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle traveling left of center off the south side of the roadway. Johns over corrected when re-entering the roadway, traveling back across both lanes and off the north side roadway striking the ditch. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. Johns was cited for failure to control.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Trey Sievertsen of Washington C.H. reported he was assaulted by a household member. Marah N. Martindill of Washington C.H. was charged in the offense.

MENACING: A resident of Washington C.H. reported she had been harassed by her neighbors. The involved parties were referred to the city solicitor for prosecution.

FIRE: Johnny Chain reported a house fire at his residence on Miami Trace Road. Chain had extinguished the fire prior to the arrival the fire department. No injuries were reported. At the time of the report it is believed the fire started from an unattended burning candle.

SEPT. 12

WANTED PERSON: Washington C.H. Police requested deputies serve a warrant on Bogus Road. Gary Keller of Washington C.H.

911 HANG UP: Deputies responded to a 911 hang-up on Post Road. Upon deputies arrival they discovered several children under the age of 9 at home with another sibling. The parents arrived shortly thereafter.

TRAFFIC CRASH: A 16 year old female from Cedarville was traveling southbound on State Route 41 near Upper Jamestown Road when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway into the ditch. She was cited for Failure to Control.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Brandon Newsome, 22, of Memphis, Tenn., was traveling eastbound on Route 22 and attempted to turn onto Old Springfield Road and struck the stop sign.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Martin Johnson, 39 of Columbus, was traveling northbound on I-71 near the Brock Road overpass when Johnson lost control of his vehicle traveling off the right side of the roadway into the ditch. Johnson was cited for Failure to Control.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT/ASSAULT: Chelsea Brown of Washington C.H., reported that while on the lot of the Waffle House fight ensued and she attempted to break-up the fight and was assaulted by an unknown person during the altercation. The suspect departed prior to deputy’s arrival. No injuries were reported.

FIRE: While on patrol a Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle on the side of I-71 on fire. The Deputy summoned Jefferson Twp Fire Department who extinguished the fire. The owner Christopher Kim, Pittsburgh, Pa. reported he was southbound on I71 when the check engine light came on and he observed flames coming out the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.

THEFT: Employees of Fossil Outlet Store, Tanger Mall reported two subjects departed the store and the employees noticed merchandise missing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY FIGHTING: Deputies responded to a report of a physical altercation on North Main St. in Jeffersonville. Upon arriving they determined that Kevin Landenburg and Brian Landenburg had been engaged in a mutual fight. Both subjects were charged with Disorderly Conduct by Fighting.

THEFT: Antario Walker, Ashburn, Ga. reported an unknown person approached him at his semi-truck and took money from him.

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a report of a neighbor dispute in Jeffersonville. Contact was made with both parties and a temporary resolution to the complaint was found.

BURGLARY/CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: Rodney Miller, of Washington C.H., reported someone forcibly entered his residence and removed property.

SEPT. 11

MENACING: A resident of New Holland, reported a known male made threats towards her. She was referred to the solicitor for charges.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Chasitey Sherwood of Blanchester was traveling eastbound on Route22-W and turned southbound onto Fairview Avenue. Donald McKay of Clarksburg was following Sherwood on Route 22, McKay’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck Sherwood’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damages. McKay was cited for Marked Lanes.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Zachery Uhl of Washington C.H. was northbound on Rock Mills-Good Hope Road and traveled off the roadway at a curve into a bean field. No injuries were reported.The vehicle sustained moderate damage. Uhl was cited for Failure to Control.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Deputies were dispatched to TA Travel Center in Jeffersonville on an intoxicated male. Kevin Steward of Greenfield, was arrested in the incident.

SEPT. 10

TRAFFIC CRASH: Peggy A. Faracy-King of Prospect, Ky. reported on Aug. 20 her vehicle was struck while traveling on Allen Road. The report indicates Faracy-King was traveling Northbound on Allen Road near the Speedway when a tractor-trailer, operated by Randy D. Holtmyer of Pilot Mound, Ia. began backing in the roadway, striking Faracy-King’s vehicle.The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Tyrone Grant of Conveyers, Ga., was departing the T/A truck lot when Grant struck a parked tractor-trailer owned by TC Trans LLC. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported.

MENACING: A resident of Jeffersonville reported she was verbally threatened by a known person. The reportee was referred to the village solicitor.
