Two injured in car accident at Willard and Florence streets

Two vehicles collided Wednesday at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Florence and Willard streets in Washington C.H. According to Washington Police Department Sgt. Shoopman, the driver of a Jeep Compass failed to observe a stop sign and collided with a Chevy Malibu. The driver of the Chevy Malibu and the passenger in the Jeep Compass were taken from the scene by life squad for further treatment of minor injuries, said Sgt. Shoopman. The Fayette County EMS, Washington C.H. Fire Department, and Washington Police Department responded to the accident. The names of the drivers were not released by police as of press time.
