Three Fayette County 4-H members, Trevor Minyo, Spencer Minyo and Victoria Schappacher, recently returned from the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Ga.

They were selected to represent the state of Ohio based on their documented 4-H and community achievements.

The purpose of the National 4-H Congress is to reward each of the delegate’s achievements; provide new and cultural experiences; provide a forum for interaction and exchange of ideas among youth and adults; and encourage leaders of business, government, education, and public affairs to share in the development of youth.

The theme of this year’s Congress was “Be True, Be You.”

More than 900 youth attended the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta. Ohio was represented by 26 youth, who were selected from more than 600 interested applicants.
