Community entertained at Christmas Parade

The Washington Shrine Club took time to break out the old fire engine and ride through town Sunday during the 2017 Christmas Parade.

The theme for the parade this year was “Peace on Earth,” and it was displayed through many different styles, including a group dressed in tie-dye and hippie clothing. With about 80 different floats, bands, cars and more, many participants had a different take on the theme.

Journey Through Bethlehem will be featured on Dec. 8, 9 and 10. Guided groups will go every 10 minutes from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Call (740) 335-1700 for reservations. Pictured are several actors and animals that will be a part of the event as they participate in the Christmas Parade.

Team X-Man was raising muscular dystrophy awareness by hauling a hand painted sign during the parade that read “A cure is on the horizon.”

Offering flowers, this Aladdin Shrine clown would leave a bystander with nothing but a stem in a quick prank as he strolled downtown.
