Monday, June 22 is an important date for Fayette County 4-H members and FFA members.

All Fayette County Junior Fair entries are due to the Fayette County Extension Office by 4:30 p.m. This includes all livestock entries. To show and sell at the Fayette County Junior Fair, exhibitors must complete entry forms for all their livestock projects. Other junior fair entries include: cookie baking contest, talent show, Nutrition Bowl, dog entries and horse entries. Also, 4-H Club attendance sheets are due to the office.

The mandatory skillathons are also on June 22 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. All 4-H members enrolled in a livestock project were mailed a letter with details about the skillathon. Locations, times and requirements were outlined in the letter. If members passed their identified level for their specie, they will take the next level. There is beginner, intermediate and advanced. There are no makeup skillathons. To be able to show and sell at the county or state fair, members need to successfully complete the required Fayette County skillathon.

Anyone with questions concerning 4-H or junior fair requirements, please contact the Fayette County Extension Office at 740-335-1150.
