Four people were flown by medical helicopter to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for treatment after a vehicle crashed into two trees Thursday morning in Fayette County.
At approximately 10:07 a.m., a 2005 Honda Civic with four individuals inside was traveling northbound on State Route 38, north of State Route 734, according to Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reports. The vehicle, driven by Daniel Haynes, 19, of London, went left of center, swerved back to the right, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.
From there, the vehicle continued through a driveway at 9862 State Route 38 and struck an AT&T telephone box, reports said. The Honda rolled, struck a tree and then struck a second tree before coming to rest on its left side.
Haynes; Christopher Tracy, 22, of Columbus; Jessica Lee Payne, 24, of Bloomingburg; and Dylan M. Peterman, 25, of London were all flown by medical helicopter to OSU Wexner Medical Center following the crash. The injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to authorities.
