According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Aug. 30

Theft/Drug Abuse/Tampering with Evidence: At 11:35 a.m., an employee of Kroger reported that a female concealed merchandise on her person and failed to pay for the item. The female, identified as Ann Stephenson, was detained by officers at which time she attempted to discard the concealed merchandise, she was also found in possession of a controlled substance. Stephenson was charged with the listed offenses.

Criminal Damaging: At 4:16 p.m., Michel Grooms reported that unknown person(s) damaged the rear door and door frame during an attempt to gain entry into the residence.

Assault: At 7:50 p.m., a woman reported that during an argument, she was physically assaulted by a known male. Corey A. Jarrell was arrested for the offense.
