‘Back to School Bash’ held at St. Catherine’s Manor

0

On Aug. 4 the Community First Division and FACT advocates, Kyler, Matthew and Diana attended the Back To School Bash at St. Catherine’s Manor.

Advocates of the FACT group voted to donate $75 worth of school supplies for local area schools. The Back To School Bash was sponsored by St. Catherine’s Manor and offered a free lunch consisting of a hot dog, chips, drink and a cookie to any community member that donated school supplies.

The advocates also had the opportunity to assist with the lunches and bussing tables, but the best part of participating in the bash was socializing with the residents. Everyone enjoyed listening to music, dancing and partaking in music trivia. The weather was not favorable, but it did not stop anyone from having a good time. We even met up with one of our favorite supporters, Harry Wright.

Thank you to everyone at St. Catherine’s for inviting the FACT group to be part of this fun day!

The FACT group, standing for Fayette Advocating Change Together, is just one of the many programs and services provided by Fayette County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
