WFD responds to structure fire

The Washington Fire Department responded to a report of smoke inside a structure Thursday evening at 270 Carolyn Road in Washington Court House, according to reports. The report said that after finding smoke from the roof and attic vents, the fire department removed a large attic fan near the fire to gain access. Several areas of the structure were significantly damaged from the fire. No one was injured and the cause remains undetermined. Pictured are firefighters from Washington Fire Department, BPM Joint Fire District and Pic-A-Fay Fire District who came to relieve firefighters who had been on site for about an hour and were over-heated due to outside humidity.
