The 2017 Fire In The Sky was held Monday evening at the fairgrounds for the community to come together and celebrate the Fourth of July.

Pictured is where the organizers shot off the fireworks using an intricate system. One local was able to fire a test shot about an hour prior to the show.

This crew of volunteers were in charge on the ground and helped to wire, store and set-up the fireworks prior to Monday evening’s show.

Before Fire In The Sky began, the crew could be seen making final preparations.

Residents parked and sat around the fairgrounds to watch the display.

A dunk tank provided enjoyment for the crowd and a fun game for the community to enjoy.

Food was available and a variety of other snacks and beverages were sold to the public.

Other games included several carnival-type challenges for children and adults to play.

Jeffersonville held a block party and parade and fireworks were sponsored by the Lions Club as part of their Fourth of July celebration.
