McClish’s Plants Plus Greenhouses held the first “Grow Our Community Day” event on Saturday, May 27 as a way to give back to their community.
McClish’s gave customers the choice to donate a portion of their total purchase to either Hospice of Fayette County or LIFE Pregnancy Center.
“We chose two organizations that reach and assist both ends of the age spectrum in the community. We wanted to give something back,” explained Brent and Nancy McClish, owners of McClish’s Plants Plus Greenhouses.
The Grow Our Community Day was a huge success with over $1,100 in total benefiting the two organizations.
“We are blessed to have the McClish family business and family within our community as they are always seeking ways to give back. I’m thrilled that Hospice of Fayette County was one of their choices this year along with LIFE Pregnancy Center. The recognition of ‘sanctity of life’ from beginning to end,” said Lynda Wilt, executive director for Hospice of Fayette County.
Hospice of Fayette County is a local, non-profit agency providing comfort, symptom management when there is a life-limiting illness to those in Fayette and all surrounding counties. LIFE Pregnancy Center offers accurate information regarding parenting, adoption and abortion as well as free and confidential care including pregnancy tests and ultrasound exams.
