United Way raises $8,000 thanks to 2017 golf outing

United Way thanked event sponsors, Bumpus Trucking, First State Bank, Marquee Construction, Fayette Travel and Tourism, Vermeer Heartland, Valero, State Farm Insurance, Merrill Lynch, Melvin Stone and Quali-Tee Design. First State Bank/Marquee Construction team came in second. Tanger Outlet donated awards for “Longest Drive” with Nick Fauber winning as well as “Closest to the Pin” with Dave Harp winning.

The 2017 Annual United Way Golf Outing was held May 12 at Crown Hill Golf Club in Williamsport. Seventeen teams enjoyed a day of golf and lunch catered by Crown Hill before teeing off with a shotgun start. The event raised just over $8,000 and will benefit over 30 health and human service agencies funded by The United Way right here in Fayette County. The first place team was Merrill Lynch with members Chris Fauber, Steve Luebbe, Andrew Cimis and Nick Fauber.
