The Fayette Humane Society has been serving in the community for over 35 years and to celebrate, they are having their annual “Bowser Bash.” The event will be held at the Crown Room tonight from 7 p.m. to midnight.

The Bowser Bash is an annual fundraising event with a lot of music, food, nice raffles and fun.

“It is an evening of good fun and fellowship, while at the same time raising funds for the homeless, abused and neglected animals that we help in Fayette County,” said outreach director Brad Adams “Everyone had a blast the past two years of doing it so we want to bring it back for a third year.”

The Bowser Bash is being sponsored by Center Pizza and D.J. Charlie McCoy, who will be providing the music. Deb Diley will provide the tasty appetizers, which seem to be a hit with attendees every year.

“This is a casual dress event, so no need to fancy yourself up. We just want folks to come out and have fun,” said Adams.

There are a few ways you may RSVP for the event. Visit the humane society’s website at www.fayettehumanesociety.com to get your name on the RSVP list prior to the event, stop by their downtown Adoption and Business Center at 153 S. Main St. – Suite 3, between 9 a.m. and Noon or pay at the door, tonight. It is $12 for one person or $20 for two.

The Fayette Humane Society is a non-profit (501(c)(3) volunteer organization. It receives less than 2 percent of its support from governmental organizations and therefore must rely on donations, grants and fundraising to carry out its mission. The Humane Society is the only organization in Fayette County able to respond to calls about abused and neglected and domestic animals, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
