Final details for the 77th Fayette County Shepherds Club Banquet were completed at a meeting of the Shepherd’s Club Directors this week.

The banquet this year will be held at the Mahan Hall on the fairgrounds Monday, April 3 at 7 p.m. In addition to the traditional roast lamb dinner prepared by The Willow Restaurant, a program will follow.

Amanda Ivy, new junior fair coordinator, will make a presentation regarding her role at the Fayette County Fair.

Jess Weade will address the group regarding local citizens making provisions in their estate to support the junior fair activities in future years.

Candidates for 2017 Fayette County Lamb Queen will be present to be interviewed by a panel of judges and one will be announced as the new Lamb Queen. She will be crowned by current Lamb Queen Chloe Lambert.

Travis Mick will auction donated items at the conclusion of the evening.

Tickets for the banquet may be obtained from any director of the Shepherds Club, at the Fayette County Fair Board office or at Prime Meats and Deli. Anyone interested in an excellent lamb dinner, supporting the Junior Fair Lamb exhibitors, or learning more about the activities of the Shepherds Club, is cordially invited to attend.
