According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

JULY 30

DRUG ABUSE/TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE: While deputies were on patrol a known male who had an active warrant was stopped walking on W. High St in Jeffersonville, Ohio. Upon the deputy exiting his vehicle, the male dropped a hypodermic needle on the ground then attempted to swallow narcotics. Ian Taylor was arrested in the incident.

CAR FIRE: Shelby Poole of Greenfield reported while traveling on Route 41-South near Miami Trace Road, her vehicle caught fire. The vehicle sustained heavy damage.

THEFT: Eva Tresswood of Wake Forest, NC reported that while traveling through Fayette County a family member used her debit card at an ATM without consent.

RECOVERED STOLE VEHICLE: A deputy observed a pick-up truck on Route 35 near Palmer Road stationary alongside the roadway. Upon checking the registration it was discovered that thevehicle had been reported stolen from Dayton.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Ford Road on a domestic incident. A female reported she was into an argument with her fiancé, who had left the residence prior to deputies arrival. No signs of assault were observed.

VEHICLE DAMAGE: Ricky Seyfang of Jamestown reported while traveling on Route 41 near Wilson-Silcott Road a crop dusting plane was spraying a field in the area. Seyfang reported that chemical from the plane landed on his vehicle.

BREAKING AND ENTERING/ THEFT: George Cox of Washington C.H. reported that someone had entered a locked storage building and removed several items of tools from inside.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Hawkes of Urbana, Ohio was traveling northbound on Route 207 in the 9000 block when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. Hawkes struck a utility pole then the vehicle overturned. Minor injuries. Hawkes was cited for failure to control.

JULY 29

DOG AT LARGE: A resident on Warrior Court reported his neighbor’s dog runs loose and comes onto his property.

PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff’s deputies made contact and served two protection orders pursuant to the court order.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A female reported she and a known subject had been a verbal argument. The female advised no assault or threats had occurred.

MEANCING BY STALKING: A Jeffersonville resident reported a known female has been seen driving in the area of her residence.

THEFT/POSSESSION OF CRIMINAL TOOLS: An employee of Tommy Hilfiger in Jeffersonville reported two unknown suspects entered the store and concealed items and departed. Deputies located the vehicle on the lot and a shopping bag lined with foil was located in the vehicle. Toni Seay Evans and Karen Wilbon of Cincinnati, were arrested in the incident.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a third party complaint of a male and female in an argument. Upon arrival, both the male and female stated they were arguing about another male and both denied any threats or physical altercation.

JULY 28

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Bertrand Chavis reported someone slashed two tires on his vehicle while parked outside his place of employment.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Stephen Willett, Jeffersonville reported a known male subject arrived at his house and refused to leave. Mr. Willett declined charges.

MISSING PERSON: An adult male reportedly departed his residence in the early morning and had not returned. The male returned later and was confirmed by deputies.

THEFT / CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Storm Ratliff, Washington CH reported someone removed a lawn ornament from her property.

FIRE: Barbara Jones, Bloomingburg reported her garage caught fire. The fire was extinguished by a neighbor prior to the arrival of the fire departments. Bloomingburg, Paint & Marion Twp. Fire Department, as well as Washington CH Fire Department responded to the scene.
