1944 Golden Girls meet for luncheon

0

The 1944 Golden Girls met for their annual luncheon at the Willow Restaurant recently. They had a delightful time reminiscing about their lives during the past year. Much laughter and conversation were exchanged.

The girls who enjoyed this luncheon were Myrtis Klugh, from Oakland, Calif., Helen Minshall Sollars, from Bloomingburg, and Mary Marchant and Jane Mark Williams, both from Washington Court House. The girls missed the company of Jo Ann Crouse and Evalina Long Hidy, as they passed away last year. They also missed the presence of Naomi Fernau Miller, the founder of the Golden Girls’ Luncheon.

If anyone, including the Golden Guys who graduated from Washington High School in 1944, would like to join us for next year’s luncheon, please contact Jane Mark Williams at (740) 335-2874.
