FCMH Auxiliary holds regular meeting

Following the reorientation and lunch held for the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, president Pat Gall called the regular meeting to order.

She thanked Nancy Troutman and her team for the wonderful meeting and lunch. She also thanked chef Jim Vassar for the delicious lunch. There was a unanimous vote for approval.

Pat announced that the auxiliary had a success with the Masquerade Book and Jewelry Sale and from the Books are Fun Sale. The secretary’s report was in print and approved. The treasurer’s report and the gift shop report were approved.

The president informed the group that the auxiliary board met to update the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary bylaws. Each member had received a copy of the new bylaws in the mail. The vote was taken for approval. The new bylaws were approved.

Pat reminded the group that the seamstresses had worked really hard making items for the holiday bazaar. The bazaar will be in the meeting room in Medical Arts Building 2 on Nov. 11 from 9 to 5. All members are being asked to provide baked goods to sell. If anyone can volunteer to work it will be appreciated.

Ruth Curry of the nominating committee announced the members of the board for 2019. They are Jim Hamilton, Joyce Lott, Patsy Stevens and Ruth Curry. There still is not a vice president.

The president reminded the group to think about our ailing members; Roberta Bowers, Jody Hanawalt and Kathleen Morris.

The next meeting will be Feb. 13, 2017.
