AARP Tax Aide is back! Call today to schedule your free tax preparation at the library. Appointments are available for Wednesdays in Washington Court House. Doing your own taxes? State and federal tax forms are available at the library, although quantities are limited. Visit www.irs.gov or tax.ohio.gov for forms, instructions, and more.

Adults, the Carnegie Book Club will feature “Mystery” titles this year! On March 16 at 5 p.m., the book club will meet to discuss “Maisie Dobbs: a novel” by Jacqueline Winspear. In her first case, private detective Maisie Dobbs must investigate the reappearance of a dead man who turns up at a cooperative farm called “The Retreat” that caters to men who are recovering their health after World War I. In Washington Court House: Ever wonder what people did before cell phones or the internet? Come check out our “Teen Tech Day” on Monday, March 6, 4-6 p.m. as we explore the ancient technology of our parents and grandparents! Story times are on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for Preschool Storytime, children 4 – 6 years old, and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. for Books & Blocks, children 1 – 3 years old. Each week features a new theme! March 7 and 9 will feature “Same and Different!” Siblings are welcome at either session.

Also, each Tuesday beginning on March 7 at 11:15 a.m., the library will host “Books & Babies.” “Books & Babies” is a 15-minute session specifically created for our youngest patrons to look at board books, do finger plays, bounce on laps and explore. This early literacy time will introduce your baby to the library and the world of books! Families with kids up to age 5 are invited to come to the library on Saturday, March 11 at 11 a.m. to participate in “Family Story Time.” The theme will be St. Patrick’s Day!

In Jeffersonville: Tuesday at 11 a.m., come listen to stories, play instruments, create crafts, and socialize with other little friends at Toddler Time. Each week features a new theme! Please call and register today, space is limited! Now through March 17, the library will be hosting a “Make and Take” craft table where you can make your own St. Patrick’s Day Card! Supplies are limited so get in while supplies last! “Knitters and Crocheters Drop-ins” are on the last Wednesday of the month. Knitters and crocheters ages 8 and up are invited to join Linda in the meeting room on Wednesday, March 29 from 3-4:30 p.m. At this time, anyone can drop off their knitted caps for newborns and those with cancer.
