Court House Quilters announce show results

Court House Quilters recently hosted their final show at Southern State Community College. They are pleased to announce the People’s Choice winners:

– large hand-quilted Cherie DelPonte

– large machine-quilted Christine Reynolds

– small hand-quilted Jerri Anderson

– small machine-quilted Carol Hixson

– antique quilt Cindy and Dan Drake

– miscellaneous Tori Wilt (made by Jerri Anderson)

Viewers chose Cherie DelPonte’s Grandmother’s Flower Garden as their overall show favorite.

Winners of small raffle items were Roxy Holbrook, Barbara Rasmussen, Frances Moore, Carol Waddle, Ruth Curry and Carolyn Storer. Alan Foster won the 2018 raffle quilt, Star of Wonder.

The guild will donate $1 of each admission to the Fayette County Food Pantry and a portion of the proceeds to Dolly Parton Imagination, providing books to children ages 0 through 5, and to the Grace United Methodist Church Backpack food program. The OSU Alumni will also receive a donation for their help with the show set up.

Court House Quilters thank SSCC and those who have supported their quilt shows for the past 23 years.
