Roberts celebrate their 50th anniversary

David and Anita Roberts of Sabina will be celebrating their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 26.

They were married Aug. 26, 1967 at the Lees Creek United Church of Christ, officiated by Reverend Fred Kline. It was the very first wedding ceremony for Rev. Kline. Matron of Honor was Connie (Sharp) Hooper and serving a best man was John Thomas Downing.

David retired from The Ohio State University Department of Cardiology, but continues to work as a cardiologist for Adena Regional Medical Center treating patients in the Greenfield and Washington C.H. offices. Anita has retired and enjoys spending her time with their seven grandchildren, Sam, Lucy, Ethan, Kathryn, Ava, Lily and Antonio.

Their children, Deborah (Jesús) Villa, Rob Roberts and Greg (Jennifer) Roberts, will be hosting a reception at the Richland United Methodist Church, 52 Melvin Rd., Wilmington, Sunday, Aug. 27 from 2-5 pm. All family and friends are asked to stop by and celebrate with Dave and Anita.
