FCMH purchases ForceTriad for surgery dept.

Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) Foundation recently purchased a ForceTriad for the surgery department.

The ForceTriad energy platform is a first-of-its kind integrated solution for open and laparoscopic electrosurgical procedures. This platform provides the operating room with one energy system for electrosurgical and tissue fusion needs and gives surgeons the ability to deliver precisely-controlled energy and improved tissue effect.

In the past, operating rooms needed separate pieces of equipment to achieve different tissue effects: monopolar, bipolar and vessel sealing. The ForceTriad combines all three into one easy-to-use platform, making setup simpler. It offers the surgeon a wide range of options, including electrosurgical cutting and coagulation, bipolar functionality and LigaSure tissue fusion.

It will be used for colorectal, urology, orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, and gynecology. The ValleyLab Force Triad will allow the surgery department to operate two surgical rooms at the same time.

“The ValleyLab Force Triad is a great addition to our operating room, in that it will allow us to serve more of our community’s surgical health needs,” said Jason Vaughan, director of surgery. “The ValleyLab Force Triad provides advanced dissection and vessel sealing capabilities that provide faster surgeries and better patient outcomes.”
