The Phi Beta Psi Gamma Chapter will be hosting the 11th-annual Denim & Diamonds fundraising event on Saturday, April 23 at the Fine Arts Building on the Fayette County Fairgrounds, from 6-10:30 p.m.

Denim & diamonds is sponsored by Rowland LeMaster & Parrett Insurance, Halliday Lumber and Vermeer Heartland. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at Trends.

Some of the evening’s festivities will consist of a four course meal, wine and beer tasting, raffle prizes, silent auction items and a DJ to wrap up the evening. Tammy Meddock, a breast cancer survivor, will be sharing her story and Heidi Basinger, MS, BSN, RN Director of Nursing at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center, will provide a brief presentation.

Proceeds from this event go to the Tree of Hope organization and Fayette County services that assist residents and their families in dealing with cancer. Tree of Hope is a nonprofit organization run by members of Phi Beta Psi -a national service sorority with a locally-based chapter. Tree of Hope helps local residents dealing with cancer by covering expenses that are not covered by insurance.
