Nancy Troutman, Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary liaison, recently welcomed 32 members to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Reorientation for 2018.

Hospital representatives reminded the group of the rules necessary to do their volunteer work by providing high quality patients’ rights and volunteer responsibilities.. When the reorientation was over, chef Jim Vassar and his crew provided an awesome lunch for everyone. The volunteers were very grateful.

Following reorientation and lunch, Carolyn Reinwald, auxiliary president, called the regular meeting together. Jeanne Immell gave the secretary’s report. Sherry Ferguson gave the treasurer’s report. Jean Ann Davis gave the gift shop report. All reports were accepted as given.

The auxiliary has a Collective Goods (Books Are Fun) Sale coming up Nov. 19 and 20 in the board room at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Proceeds from Collective Goods/Books Are Fun and Masquerade Fundraisers have been very helpful this year.

Ruth Curry and the president reminded the members to choose to serve as auxiliary board members. Also a president and vice president are needed. Susan Mitchell and Carolyn Reinwald may do it as a combined effort.

After many years, Jody Hanawalt has excused herself from being a co-chair for the Holiday Bazaar. Beth Foster and Ruth Curry will become co-chairs.

Collective Goods (Books Are Fun) will be Feb. 11 and 12, 2019.

The next meeting will be Feb. 11, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the in the meeting room in the basement of MABI.
