0

For many years the Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) Auxiliary has presented scholarships to two graduates who are entering school for medical training. The hospital provides the scholarships through the hospital auxiliary.

This year one of the scholarships was given to Brandon Brown, a Miami Trace graduate. Brandon is planning on attending Wright State University this fall to major in nursing. His current interest is in psychiatric nursing. His goal is to achieve his nursing degree, go to graduate school and become a nurse practitioner.

In high school, Brandon was active in French class and college AP classes. Music is another interest. He particularly enjoyed visiting nursing homes with the show choir and participating in musicals.

The scholarships were presented by the scholarship committee members, Barbara Vance, Jody Hanawalt and Joyce Lott. Participating in the picture are; left to right, Barbara Vance, Jody Hanawalt, Brandon Brown, grandmother Patricia Brown and Joyce Lott.
