According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Oct. 10

Theft: At 12:49 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Campbell Street in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant, Ronald L. Williams, who advised that prescription medication had been taken from the residence. A theft report was taken on the victim’s behalf.

Endangering Children: At 1:26 p.m., officers responded to the area of South Main Street and Elm Street in reference to an unattended child playing in the roadway. Children Services were contacted and the father of the child was later identified as Clayton M. Huey, who was arrested and charged with the listed offense.

Theft: At 3:28 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Fourth Street in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant, Rhonda S. Roper, who advised that a gaming system and a television had been taken from the residence. A theft report was taken on the victim’s behalf.

Criminal Damaging: At 12:32 a.m., Jennifer Taylor reported that unknown person(s) punctured two tires and damaged the paint on a vehicle parked at the front of her residence. Person(s) also damaged the paint on another vehicle parked at the rear of the residence.

Oct. 9

Criminal Damaging: At 3:30 p.m., James Howe reported that a known male damaged a wooden chair that was on his front porch during an argument between the two. The male, identified as Mark A. Calhoun, was charged with the listed offense.

Assault/Disorderly Conduct: At 5:46 p.m., a woman reported that a known female physically assaulted her while at a residence on East Circle Avenue. The female, identified as Tobi Leigh Cottrell, was arrested for the listed offenses.

Oct. 8

Larceny: At 7:18 p.m., Krista Gullufsen, of 875 Lewis St., reported that someone opened a letter in her mailbox and removed some of the contents of the letter.
