Art in Bloom 2023 was recently held at Columbus Museum of Art (April 27 – 30). The Deer Creek Daisies Garden Club celebrated spring by attending this event.

As stated in the program provided by Columbus Museum of Art, visitors were invited to view works of art from the Museum’s permanent collection, brought to life with floral creations by numerous talented designers.

Art in Bloom is a biennial fundraiser that transforms the Columbus Museum of Art, showcasing the talents of Central Ohio’s most talented floral artists and designers in brilliant and creative displays inspired by some of the most iconic works of art.

The group of gardeners visited 10 art galleries, which included North Hall, South Hall, West Hall, Broad Street Lobby, Chase Center for Creativity, Wonder Room, Atrium both upper and lower level. The art displayed was interpreted by the designers with fresh cut flowers. Last stop, spending time in the large gift shop which all enjoyed finding a personal treasure.

Lunch and friendship were a favorite at Old Bag of Nails on Broad Street. Garden door prizes were won by Rita Lanman and Jeanne Miller. Hosts for the day were Barbara Vance and Marty Cook.
