Miami Trace Local School District announced its upcoming launch of the Miami Trace School App in its Quarterly District Newsletter, The Panther Post.

The app will be available to download Monday on iOS™, Android™, and Windows™ devices. The school app gives parents, students, faculty, and staff the ability to stay connected and informed about what’s happening at Miami Trace.

Miami Trace officials are excited about the new parent communication app and what it will mean for the community.

“Improving student learning outcomes is a top priority at Miami Trace. We know that parent and family engagement is one of the biggest factors in student success, and our new app will allow parents to more easily connect with our team and gather information. I am pleased that Amy Gustin and Kylie Lanman decided to pursue this.”

“Because transparency and communication are so important to us at Miami Trace, we are continuously evaluating our current methods of communication and working towards improvement. We know our families are busy. We are introducing this new tool with hopes to make it easier for parents, students, and staff to quickly get the information they need regarding academics and extracurricular activities,” said Amy Gustin, technology director.

Kylie Lanman, Student Services & District Operations Coordinator, added, “From urgent communication to day-to-day news, documents, and forms, this app will save time and improve communication for families, students, and staff. We are even testing a new Attendance Reporting Feature within the app at the elementary school. Parents will be able to report their child’s absence without calling or sending a note. If it is well-received, we will expand the feature to all buildings. There are so many possibilities with this platform and we look forward to improving it over time with community feedback.”
