Panther baseball beats Huntington, 8-2

The Miami Trace High School varsity baseball team improved to 3-0 on the season with an 8-2 win at Huntington High School (Ross Country) Thursday, March 31.

Brady Armstrong started for the Panthers and earned the pitching victory. He worked four innings with four hits and two runs (no earned runs) with one walk and four strikeouts.

Gaige Stuckey pitched two scoreless innings for the Panthers, with one hit and one strikeout.

Crocker took the loss for the Huntsmen. He pitched six innings with seven hits and eight runs (two earned) with four walked and two strikeouts.

Huntington committed five errors and Miami Trace had two.

Stuckey was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and one RBI.

Conner Bucher had two hits, including a double, with two RBI and one run scored.

Austin Boedecker hit a triple, drove in one and scored one run.

Ashton Connell had one hit, walked once and scored one run.

Dillon Hyer had one hit, scored two runs and drove in one.

The Panthers scored all the run they would need with three in the top of the first.

The Panthers scored three more in the second and two in the fourth.

Huntington scored two runs in the fourth.
