A 59-year-old Washington Court House man has been charged with operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI) of alcohol after he was involved in a one-vehicle rollover accident Tuesday evening on State Route 41 South.

At approximately 6:40 p.m., a black 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by Charles E. Forsythe, was heading northbound on State Route 41 near Rowe-Ging Road in Union Township. According to Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, the truck ran off the right side of the road into a ditch.

Forsythe then reportedly over-corrected to the left, re-entered the roadway and the truck then rolled onto its passenger side.

Forsythe, of 1128 Countryside Drive, was transported by Fayette County EMS to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. He was the only occupant of the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Along with the OVI charge, Forsythe was charged with failure to control.
