The 2018 Christmas Parade was held on Sunday afternoon in downtown Washington Court House. The VFW Post 3762 enjoyed the ride as they greeted many residents along the side of the road.
This furry Santa Claus helped to advertise Exit Strategy Realty during the parade Sunday.
South Side Church of Christ was also a part of festivities with its hay ride float.
The Miami Trace Marching Band was one of several Miami Trace Panther teams or groups to be featured during the parade.
Bible Baptist Temple got into the spirit and dressed as a whole Who Village.
Santa Claus was also a part of the parade on Sunday. He was escorted by the county first responders, including BPM Joint Fire District, Jefferson Township Fire, Washington Police and Fire Departments and many more.
The Washington Shrine Club took time to participate in the parade and show the community the many chapters of the club that come together to help raise funds for many charities.
Wayne Turner, leader of team X-Man, continues to fight for a cure for muscular dystrophy by raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). During the parade Turner pulled a sign that reads, “A cure is on the horizon.”
Washington Court House City Schools participated Sunday with a variety of its teams, students and staff during the parade. Pictured are members of the Washington High School Marching Band performing for the crowd.
Members from various local news organizations and local businesses helped to cover the parade Sunday afternoon for the community to enjoy.
