According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Nov. 18

Unauthorized Use: At 8:49 p.m., Kimberly Dempsey, of 418 W. Elm St., reported Breahanna Dempsey had taken her vehicle without her permission. Charges were filed.

Domestic Violence/Unlawful Restraint: At 11:31 p.m., two women reported being assaulted and held against their will by Michael D. Wheeler. Charges were filed.

Nov. 17

Criminal Damaging: At 7:59 a.m., Branden Grooms reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) shattered the windows on his Chevrolet Suburban.

Criminal Damaging: At 8:02 a.m., Stephen Elrich reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) shattered the front passenger side window on Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Assault/Disorderly by Fighting: At 7 p.m., officers were called to the area of Delaware Street near Aspen Drive in reference to an altercation between two females. After speaking to parties involved, a female juvenile was charged with assault, and the other female, identified as Amy N.E. Kidd, was charged with disorderly by fighting.

Assault x 2/Drug Paraphernalia/Obstructing Official Business/Open Container Prohibited: At 7:52 p.m., Charles and Kennedy Smith reported that while at a residence on South Elm Street, a known male physically assaulted both of them. The male, identified as David E. Dawson, was located a short distance from the residence and taken into custody for the assaults. During Dawson’s arrest, drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol were located on his person. Dawson was charged with the listed offenses.

Nov. 13

Criminal Damaging: At 7:07 a.m., Nicole Fore reported that unknown person(s) broke the front passenger side window on her Jeep Patriot.

Criminal Damaging/Theft: At 8:14 a.m., Taylor Reed reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke the passenger side window on her vehicle and removed property.

Burglary: At 8:16 a.m., Randi Ford reported that unknown person(s) gained entry into her residence and removed property.

Theft: At 9:02 a.m., an employee of C&J Auto on South Main Street reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) removed an enclosed tandem axle U-Haul trailer from the lot.

Theft: At 10:58 a.m., Diane Leedom reported that while at Walmart she set her phone down on a display and accidentally left it, and when she realized what she had done, she returned to the display and her phone was gone.

Abusing Harmful Intoxicants/Drug Paraphernalia: At 9:51 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of Walmart on a complaint of a possible drug overdose. The vehicle was located and a male inside, identified as Austin A. Morris, was found unresponsive. After a short time Morris regained consciousness and was checked by EMTs on the scene. During the contact, Morris was found to be in possession of several used nitrous oxide canisters along with drug paraphernalia. Morris was charged with the listed offenses.
