McClain paces FAC girls golf match

HILLSBORO — The Frontier Athletic Conference held its third girls golf match of the 2018 season Wednesday, Aug. 22 at the Hillsboro Elks Club.

McClain won for the third time this season, shooting a team score of 221.

Miami Trace shot a 251 team score, Jackson finished with a 262 and Washington totaled 271.

Medalist was McClain’s Erika Martin with a 44.

Libby Aleshire led Miami Trace with a 56, Raven Haithcock shot a 62 for Washington and Kylie Defoy was low for Jackson with a 61.

Other scores for Miami Trace: Makayla Barnes, 63; Alyssa Butler, 63; Meri Grace Carson, 69; Destinee Butcher, 74.

Other scores for Washington: Savannah Osborne, 67; Breanna Taylor, 71; Haley Hixson, 71; Taylor Hixson, 74; Eryne Croker, 77.

Other scores for McClain: Bri Weller, 57; Cassidy Willis, 58; Liz Kegley, 62; Shayna Beatty, 66; Bryna Karnes, 71.

Other scores for Jackson: Madeline Lewis, 66; Kylie Duncan, 67; Isabella Scullytenpenny, 68; Sierra Stiffler, 71; Kaltra Woltz, 79.

Miami Trace is at Wilmington today and at Buckeye Hills for the fourth FAC match Thursday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m.

Washington has a match at the Club at Quail Run (home) with McClain Tuesday at 4 p.m.
