Students return to the classroom

Bradley Velasquez started his education strong on Monday with his first day of preschool.

Bralynn Stephenson and Jeorjia Potts both will be starting the third grade this year at Belle Aire Intermediate.

Carleigh Harrison will return to school to start third grade at Belle Aire Intermediate.

Lindsey and Madison Bunch will both return to Washington Court House City Schools to begin their seventh and third grade year, respectively.

Lukas Preston, sixth grade, and Leigh Joy, third grade, joined their classmates at Washington City Schools on Wednesday morning.

Megan Smith started her first day at the Washington Middle School on Wednesday as a seventh grader.

In an effort to show pride in students returning to school on Wednesday, the Record-Herald asked for submissions to our Facebook page throughout the day. The Miami Trace Local Schools resource officer from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Monty Coe, joined in the fun as he prepared to go back to school with the message, “Monty wants to be a farmer when he grows up. He sure loves his job there.”

Ty Huffman is ready to start third grade at Miami Trace Elementary School.

Trenton Gragg prepared for his last first day of school at Miami Trace High School and will be graduating in 2019.

Thaddeus Stuckey joined the other eighth graders who resumed classes at the Miami Trace Middle School Wednesday.
