According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

July 9

Larceny: At 4:26 p.m., Ursula Tierney reported that while parked at the United Dairy Farmers gas station, someone removed several items from her vehicle.

July 8

Criminal Damaging: At 8:23 p.m., Tracy Dillow, of 1111 S. Hinde St., reported that someone had damaged his truck with spray paint.

July 7

Criminal Damaging: At 7:51 a.m., Brandon Ellars reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) spray painted profanity on the driver’s side door of his vehicle.

Theft: At 4:27 p.m., Jami Wise reported that while at Summers Funeral Home unknown person(s) took her black Vera Wang handbag.

July 6

Burglary/Domestic Violence: At 1:08 p.m., a woman reported that a family or household member entered her residence without permission and physically assaulted her. Charges are pending.

Domestic Violence: At 1:23 p.m., a woman reported that during an argument she was physically assaulted by a family or household member. Teri Chiado was arrested for the listed offense.

July 5

Theft: At 10:44 a.m., Lewis George reported that unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicle while parked at Save-A-Lot and removed his prescription medication.

Theft: At 11:40 a.m., the Washington C.H. Police Department began investigating a reported theft from Home Depot.

Disorderly by Intoxication: At 11:45 p.m., officers were checking a complaint of a male laying on the ground in front of Duncan’s Express Mart. Upon locating the male, he was found to be very intoxicated and was unable to care for himself. The male, Wayne H. Copas, was arrested for the listed offense.

July 4

Endangering Children/Obstructing Official Business: At 1:31 p.m., officers responded to Kroger on a complaint of a small child left in a running vehicle unattended. Officers located the child’s mother, who claimed that another adult was in the vehicle when she went inside the store, which was later found to be false. The mother, identified as Samantha R. Corzatt, was charged with the listed offenses.

Disorderly Conduct: At 9:14 p.m., officers were called to an address in the 1200 block of Rawling Street on a disturbance complaint. Officers made contact with the male causing the disturbance, and having previously been given a warning to cease his actions, the male identified as David D. Woods was arrested for the listed offense.

Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication: At 1:31 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Columbus Avenue in reference to assisting the Washington Fire Department. Officers made contact with the offender, Matthew S. Risner, who was working the front desk at the Blue Stone Inn. The offender was passed out due to his intoxication level and was not able to allow entry to the fire department, who was responding to the business for a fire alarm. The offender was taken into custody and charged with the listed offense.

July 3

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Probation Violation: At 2:29 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Maple Street in reference to assisting the probation department. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the probationer, Kyle J. Maddux, who was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics. The offender was taken into custody and charged with the listed offense. Suspected narcotics were sent for identification.

Theft: At 7:09 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of North Main Street in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant, Delta M. Campbell, who advised that her keys to her vehicle had been taken. A theft report was taken on the victim’s behalf.

Domestic Violence by Threats/Menacing: At 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Columbus Avenue in reference to a disturbance complaint. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant, who advised that her boyfriend, Justin M. Wilcox, made threats to crash their vehicle off the roadway while their two children and two other passengers were in the vehicle. The offender was taken into custody and charged with three counts of domestic violence by threats and two counts of menacing.
