Blue Lions no-hit Dayton Stivers

The Washington Blue Lion varsity baseball team hosted the team from Dayton Stivers School for the Arts Thursday, May 4.

Washington won the game, 12-0 in five innings.

Grant Patterson, Austin Joseph and Bailey Roberts combined for a no-hitter for the Blue Lions.

Patterson pitched one inning with one strikeout.

Joseph pitched three innings with two walks and three strikeouts.

Bailey Roberts pitched one inning, striking out three.

The Blue Lions scored all the runs they would need with one run in the bottom of the first.

Washington scored seven in the second and four in the third.

Nine different players each had one hit for Washington.

Kenny Arboleda drove in three runs and Avery Wilson hit a double and drove in three.

Christian Grove had two RBI, as did Joseph.

The Blue Lions have one more game before the tournament, that being at Waverly Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Washington begins the Sectional tournament with a game at Fairfield Union Thursday at 5 p.m.
