GREENFIELD — The Miami Trace Lady Panthers varsity softball team traveled to Greenfield on Wednesday, April 5 for a match-up with the McClain Lady Tigers.

Miami Trace won the game, 15-3 in five innings.

Olivia Wolffe was the winning pitcher. Over five innings, Wolffe yielded four hits and three runs (two earned). She struck out seven and walked two.

Miami Trace broke out big with 10 runs in the second inning.

Jessica Camp hit a two-run home run in that inning, her second of the season.

Camp went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and four RBI.

Taylor Barrett went 3 for 3 in the game, with two doubles, three runs scored and one RBI.

Brooke Henry hit a two-run home run, part of the second inning outburst. It was her first home run of the season.

Miami Trace led 10-1 after batting in the second inning.

Miami Trace collected 11 hits in the game.

“Olivia Wolffe pitched a great game,” Miami Trace head coach Joe Henry said.

Miami Trace committed two errors in the contest.

Miami Trace is scheduled to play at Hillsboro Friday at 5 p.m.
